Discover the art of baking and cake design with our Cake Masterclass, led by the award-winning baker and cake designer, Drew Farley. This full day workshop will give you hands-on experience and provide you with everything you need to know about creating beautiful and delicious cakes. Whether you're an amateur or a pro, this is an opportunity to learn from on of the best in the industry. This is an intense workshop where you will be on your feet for most of the day. Lunch and refreshments are included in the price. Please bring your own water bottle and any additional food or snacks you may need. You will finish the masterclass with a wealth of tips and tricks, a booklet of Drew's recipes and your very own decorated cake utilising a combination of abstract palette knife techniques and fresh florals. Gluten free cake available upon request + all our cakes are nut free. Unfortunately we cannot provide dairy or egg free cakes at this time. Please note any dietary requirements you have for the provided lunch in the booking form. Workshop starts at 10am on Saturday 25th May and runs for approximately 6 hours. Workshop overview: - Cake recipe demonstration + Q&A - Discussion on choosing flavours and creating combinations. - Stack & Fill your own cake using your own flavours - Buttercream recipe demonstration + Q&A - How to cover a cake in buttercream and create a smooth finish - Lunch break - Choosing a colour palette & mixing buttercream - Applying buttercream using palette knife techniques & working to create texture - How to safely select and prepare fresh flowers & foliage for use on a cake - Placing florals on your cake Tea, coffee and cold drinks included throughout the day.
